Whats Life without Cupcakes?

Whats LIFE without Cupcakes???

Several weeks ago I've found out about a cute little local Cupcakery right in the Vancouver Downtown called the

My girls and I enjoy going there and choosing a new cupcake each time.

It wasnt until two days ago after watching CupcakeWars on Food Network, that I wanted to try to make some of my own cupcakes from scratch. I've done cupcakes before lots of times from the store bought mix, but this time I decided to take some time and do several recepies of cupcakes and frostings from scratch. My friend from Hope Floats happend to stop by and we've enjoyed decorating them together.
So here are a few pictures from today

Nautical Knot Necklace

I've always been wanting to learn nautical knots. Even more so after our sailing trip between British Virgin Islands back in February 2011.

Our boat captain had a sailing book which had all sorts of different knots which drawn my attention. It wasn't until now tha I acually tried several of them.

Pom Pom Flowers Tutorial

Here is a simple and quick totorial for Pom Pom Flowers. Today this was one of the projects my daughter and I enjoying making together. It came in heady, since my dining table has been missing a center piece for some time.

Supplies needed:
Yarn
Scissors
Sticks
Wooded Spoon (or anything else could be used)

Step 1: Wind the yarn around the wooden spoon.

Step 2: Carefully remove it. Tight it in the middle. Cut both sides.

Step 3: Fluff it out and attache it on to a stick.
Could use some glue for a better hold.
Enjoy, Easy and Fun Pom Pom Flowers

Broomstick Cuff

I came across a picture of a cuff that I absolutely loved and had to try to make it. It was featured on Kootoyoo.com.

So here is my version of the Broomstick Lace Cuff, that I've been liking a lot and wearing ever since I've made one.

Ruffle Scarf

Lately I've been accessorizing my outfits with different scarft and bigger jewelery. I've been excited to work and finish my lastest project: Ruffle Scarf. Currently available for sale in my Etsy Shop.
This scarf has been a delight to crochet. The yarn is super light, soft and easy to work with, plus the pattern is pretty simple.
