peony flower hair pins...

I don't know about you, but both of my girls were born with no hair and after months of patience I noticed fine hair coming in. Not know in advance I've made lots and lots of different flowers and attached them on an aligator clips. Well to my disappointment non of the aligator clips stayed on, and it would slowly slide off, and hang on by one hair making it uncomfortable and painful for the girls. At one point I completely swiched to headbands, but even now my oldest daughter prefers bobby pins. Well here is something for mothers with daughters like mine or for lucky girls who had a headfull of hair at birth.

I decided to make some cute and colorful bobby pins with Peony Flower attached to it. These flowers are made from 100% Polyester Ribbon, burned and sewn onto a hand cut/burned felt leaf, then attached to a bobby pin.

They come on a Element Boutique signature card (self made from recycled material).

I would like to wish everyone Merry Christmas & Happy 2011 Year. May God be in the middle of your celebration and may we all have a happy and blessed new year.

Day at the Mountain!

Yesturday, we've decided to go to the mountain for the first time this year to enjoy the beautiful fresh snow with the kids. I was super excited to see my little baby girl's expression when she sees the snow for the first time.

She was surprise to see something so white and unusually cold. Coming from Hawaii just little less then 2 weeks ago and her enjoying the warm sand all over, she wasn't quite sure what to do with with the cold, fluffy thing called snow.

Erika on the other hand, couldn't get enough of it. Sliding down the hills, being bulled in her sled by Charles (our dog) and making snow angels. She didn't want to leave even after we've spend a good half a day up there. But a warm cup of hot cocoa made the day for her.

These Pok-A-Dot Hats -$25 were my last addition to the Element Boutiue. The idea came to me, while I ran across some pok-a-dot scrapbooks paper. These hats are 100% Cotton and made to fit perfect. They are also unisex, due to the color. I can customize them to match any of there munchkins outfits. More design and colors are soon to come.

Life is Uneven- Super Chunky Twist Cowl

This is one of my latest knitting projects. I've been waiting for the perfect timing to create this twist cowl and after coming back from a month long vacation in Big Island, Hawaii I knew it was the right time. Putting aside all of my on going project I needed to knit something that would keep my neck warm from these 30 mile an hour winds.

Never lose your scarf again!

This super chunky warm cowl's subtle twist creates a comfortable, cozy, and flattering wrap around the neck.

Hand-knit with a Acrylic blend soft against bare skin yet sturdy enough to handle machine washing.
